GAME OVERVIEW
Mythic Mire is an RPG-adventure that takes place in a liminal world between dreams and nightmares. Faeya and her digital Pixie pals must survive and reach the end of The Tower to discover the mysteries of this universe. Fight surreal monsters in turn-based combat, befriend NPCs, and find clues to continue forward.
It takes inspiration from many games. Some more well-known ones include Final Fantasy 6, Yume Nikki, and Earthbound. More obscure inspirations include Lennus (a.k.a. Paladin's Quest), Lennus 2, and various indie RPG Maker projects from the past to current day.
The graphics feature a combination of hand-drawn pixel art and retro CGI FMV sequences which are used in cutscenes and spell animations.

STORY
Faeya is enjoying a warm summer day gardening in her pastoral town... when something sinister happens to the other townsfolk, altering her reality forever! Along her way she finds Mye, Que, and Zed: 3 digital “Pixies” who become her companions, each with a unique power. Befriend the quirky denizens of this new dream-like world, such as the inhabitants of Hedgehog Island, space aliens, and more. Can Faeya and her Pixie pals figure out what happened to Faeya's town?

ABOUT US & HISTORY
Resnijars is a gamedev duo consisting of married queer creators, Resni and j a r s. They have released a handful of games on Steam and itch.io, including a retro metroidvania-platformer entitled Stardust Demon in October of 2024. They combine different sensibilities and aesthetics - such as furries, retro games, dreamlike and artsy vibes - into unique packages.
Some of their older games include Salad Fields (2020) – a block-pushing puzzle adventure game with a strange narrative, and Sparkles & Gems (2021) – a breakout-type game with a silly visual-novel like story mode, the latter of which was nominated for the Nuovo Award at IGF 2022. They also released a Myst-like point-and-click adventure game called Manglepaw in 2022, which was commissioned for the game bundle-zine “Indiepocalypse”. Resni is also the creator of the surreal platformer, Mibibli’s Quest, released in 2016.
