GAME OVERVIEW
Crescent Break is an action-roguelike platformer that takes place in a futuristic world, inspired by games such as Mega Man and Spelunky. The game features permadeath, procedurally generated levels, and randomized abilities meaning that each run will be unique and interesting!

STORY
In the not-so-distant future, the water supply is chemically altered to be a power source for robotic creatures - which makes it unusable for everyone else. A rebel group of environmental hacktivists (called RIVER) have been trying to fight back, and using scrap parts they scavenged, they have created their own robot to help them fight back - a being known as Moon.
To reach the end you'll traverse unique stages including The Mainframe, Limestone Quarters, Aqualoatia, and The Substructure. Secrets await which require playing in different and unique ways to access them.

ABOUT US & HISTORY
Resnijars is a gamedev duo consisting of married queer creators, Resni and j a r s. They have released a handful of games on Steam and itch.io, including a retro metroidvania-platformer entitled Stardust Demon in October of 2024, an RPG entitled Mythic Mire in May of 2025, and a horror-adventure game entitled Videonauts in September of 2025. They combine different sensibilities and aesthetics - such as furries, retro games, dreamlike and artsy vibes - into unique packages.
Some of their older games include Salad Fields (2020) – a block-pushing puzzle adventure game with a strange narrative, and Sparkles & Gems (2021) – a breakout-type game with a silly visual-novel like story mode, the latter of which was nominated for the Nuovo Award at IGF 2022. They also released a Myst-like point-and-click adventure game called Manglepaw in 2022, which was commissioned for the game bundle-zine “Indiepocalypse”. Resni is also the creator of the surreal platformer, Mibibli’s Quest, released in 2016.
